Praying Without Ceasing
At Pleasant Hill UMC, we have a prayer chain that connects us to God and to one another.
Prayer is talking to God as we would in a relationship with a friend. God is always available, loves us, and offers immediate help and comfort for those facing struggles, illness, or need by surrounding them with prayer.
Prayer builds strong bonds and a sense of belonging as people connect over shared concerns, fulfilling the command to "carry one another's burdens" (Galatians 6:2).
When a need is given to the Prayer Chain coordinator, it is sent out to volunteers who begin praying, increasing the impact based on Scriptures like James 5:16, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
